Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
Amid the ongoing directive requiring all Pakistani nationals to leave India by April 27, with those on medical visas granted time until April 29, a fresh controversy erupted online. Singer Adnan Sami and former Pakistan minister Fawad Hussain found themselves in a heated war of words on social media.
The altercation began when Fawad Hussain shared a post on X (formerly Twitter) questioning, “What about Adnan Sami?” This comment came about Home Minister Amit Shah’s instructions to all state chief ministers, asking them to ensure no Pakistani national remains in the country beyond the set deadlines.
However, Hussain seemed unaware of a key fact — Adnan Sami has been a naturalised Indian citizen since 2016. Sami had earlier expressed deep gratitude for receiving Indian citizenship, calling it his "destiny to be an Indian." In response to Hussain’s jibe, Sami posted a sharp retort on X, saying, “Who’s going to tell this illiterate idiot!!!”
The exchange didn’t stop there. Members of Pakistan’s Tehreek-e-Insaf party joined in, mocking Sami with a sarcastic post likening him to a deflated balloon and wishing him a speedy recovery. Refusing to remain silent, Adnan Sami clapped back with even more biting words. He corrected Hussain, stating that his roots are in Peshawar, not Lahore, and ridiculed the former minister’s lack of accurate information despite his past role as Pakistan’s Minister of Information.
Adding to the fiery exchange, Sami wrote, “Meri tho hawa nikal gaee - Tu abhi bhi Balloon hai! And you were Minister of Science?... Was that the Science of BULL SH*T??” showing he had no intention of backing down.
